Classification of Organic Fertilizer Dry Granulators

Organic fertilizer dry granulator are broadly classified into two categories based on their structural principle. The mainstream types are the double roller press granualtor and the flat die press granulator, suitable for different production capacities and granule requirements. I. Double-Roller Extrusion Granulator (Mainstream Dry Process Model) • Core Structure: Includes a pair of parallel rollers (with hemispherical or other pitted surfaces), a forced feeding device, and a crushing and screening assembly. The rollers' extrusion pressure can be adjusted hydraulically. • Particle Shape: Flattened spherical, particle size 3-10mm, pelleting rate exceeding 95%. • Core Advantages: Granulation at room temperature without drying, low energy consumption; wide range of adaptable raw materials (livestock manure, kitchen waste, compound fertilizer, etc.); continuous production capability, capacity 1-3t/h. • Sub-types: Ordinary double-roller extrusion granulator (basic model, suitable for conventional organic fertilizers); New type double-roller extrusion granulator (upgraded model, more uniform particle size, suitable for special compound fertilizers). II. Flat Die Extrusion Granulator • Core Structure: Composed of a horizontal disc-shaped die, a lower pressure roller, and a cutter. Material is extruded through the pressure roller into the die holes and then cut into pellets by the cutter. • Pellet Morphology: Columnar, particle size 1.5-12mm, forming rate over 90%, no return material, no need for sieving. • Core Advantages: Low investment, small footprint, simple operation; no need for raw material pretreatment and drying; suitable for humic acid, fermented livestock and poultry manure, etc.; can operate continuously for 24 hours, with a capacity of 1-3.5t/h. • Applicable Scenarios: Small to medium-scale organic fertilizer production lines, also suitable for organic fertilizer and feed pellet processing.
