Granulation and Cooling Strategies for NPK Production Lines in Southeast Asia under Hot and Humid Climates
Southeast Asia is becoming one of the fastest-growing regional markets in the global agrochemical industry. In the first quarter of 2026, affected by soil nutrient imbalances following El Niño, the demand for NPK compound fertilizers in the region climbed by 9.1% year-on-year. The Vietnamese NPK compound fertilizer market reached approximately 3.8 million tons in 2025, becoming the second largest market in Southeast Asia; demand in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and other countries also continues to rise. However, behind this strong demand, Southeast Asia's unique tropical climate—with an average annual relative humidity exceeding 80%, and coastal areas reaching over 90% during the rainy season—poses a severe challenge to the granulation process of NPK compound fertilizers.
