Hysterosalpingogram and Its Impact on Pregnancy Planning

A Hysterosalpingogram (HSG) is a specialized X-ray procedure used to evaluate the shape of the uterus and the patency of the fallopian tubes. During the test, a contrast dye is gently introduced into the uterus through the cervix. X-ray images are then taken to observe how the dye flows through the uterine cavity and fallopian tubes. If the tubes are open, the dye spills into the pelvic cavity; if blocked, the flow is interrupted.
